Sub-Tropics

This region corresponds approximately to NCC/ABCB Climate Zone 2.

It contains Brisbane and many other centres, and extends roughly from the Tropic of Capricorn to the NSW Mid North Coast. In most of this zone, winter condensation and outward vapour drive predominate slightly over vapour drive inward, though summer condensation risk may be substantially greater than winter risk in particular situations.

Condensation Risk in Walls – Hygrothermal Analysis

Interpreting condensation risk

When the temperature is lower than the dew point condensation will form. When the Temperature profile and Dew Point lines intersect this is the location point of the condensation in the wall.
