The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB)

The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) is a joint initiative of all levels of government in Australia and includes representatives from the building industry. The Board was established in April 2006 and its mission is to address issues relating to health, safety, amenity and sustainability by providing for efficiency in the design, construction and performance of buildings through the BCA and the development of effective regulatory systems.

The Housing Industry Association (HIA)

Established in 1965, the Housing Industry Association is Australia’s largest residential building organisation. Members include builders, trade contractors, design professionals, kitchen and bathroom specialists, and manufacturers & suppliers. HIA is the only national industry association for all building professionals, representing the interests of the whole housing industry – from trade contractors, builders, and suppliers through to product manufacturers.

Build Australia magazine in hard copy is published quarterly with an information driven editorial agenda. The website is the real time news source within a broader information portal that includes a video platform. An e newsletter completes the media suite and all three channels, quarterly magazine, website and e newsletter combine to deliver an information package to the construction industry at executive management level.
